US Air Force USAF Vietnam F-100 SUPER SABRE 90TH TACTICAL FIGHTER SQUADRON PATCH

abramsantiques store The F-100 Super Sabre was the work horse of US Air Force close air support missions “in-country” south of the DMZ. Super Sabre pilots of the 90th Tactical Fighter “Pair Of Dice” Squadron, often purchased custom snap-on squadron patches. This US Air Force USAF Vietnam F-100 Super Sabre Pilot 90TH TACTICAL FIGHTER SQUADRON CUSTOM SNAP-ON SQUADRON PATCH is in excellent to near mint condition, with only some very slight storage folding to the top of the patch (pictured). Otherwise, the patch is in near mint shape, with absolutely no rips, holes, tears, soiling, or damage of any kind. It depicts the classic “pair of dice” insignia of the 90th Tactical Fighter Squadron, and boasts custom female snaps all around the edge; these female snaps would mate to male snaps that would’ve sewn to the flight jacket. The typical 90th Tactical Fighter Squadron patch featured a blue background; this red background is a rare, unusual variation. A fine example of a rare, original US Air Force USAF Vietnam F-100 Super Sabre Pilot 90TH TACTICAL FIGHTER SQUADRON CUSTOM SNAP-ON SQUADRON PATCH. Now celebrating over 10 years on eBay.
